We're actually in Grünberg, so this is about the Franciscan monastery in Grünberg. 🤷♂️

Clinker arch bridge: 100 years of history – our cycle path today! 🚴♂️🕰️" Driving under this beautiful clinker arch bridge feels truly special! You see the old architecture and think: Wow, it's been through a lot. The line is over 100 years old, and you can feel it! Once upon a time, heavy steam locomotives roared overhead; this was once the lifeline of the Vogelsberg Western Railway. Today, everything above is relaxed and quiet, as the old railway line has been converted into the perfect cycle path. It's a pleasure to glide through the landscape so flat and smooth. Viewed from below, you can see the impressive arches and realize how solid the construction was – this will easily last us cyclists (and the occasional wandering cow) another 100 years. Conclusion: A fantastic landmark that perfectly combines history and modern use. A historic structure that now serves us leisurely cyclists. Flash of inspiration: A salute to the builders, often day laborers, farmers, refugees.
