The special thing about this church are the two towers, a tent tower and a smaller baroque tower.

St. Mary's Church has a Romanesque tower. This thick tower, supported by buttresses, has a slender, pyramid-shaped slate roof. The nave has Gothic forms. On the altar wall you can see the crucifixion at the top, and below it, where a depiction of the Last Supper would normally be, there is a burial. With great artistic understanding, a statue of the Mother Mary was restored around 1950 and has now found its place on the north wall of the church. Originally, this Mary, after whom the church is named, stood in the altar shrine of the old church. After the fire of 1673, it was placed in the large staircase vestibule. The parish has special art treasures including an altar chalice from 1593, a baptismal font from 1490 with the coats of arms of the von Wrampe and von Kneitlingen families, and four colored, leaded windows (around 1900).
