In 1897, this mill was built as an earth Dutchman with a one-story substructure and a high superstructure by the mill builder Bergmann from Salzhausen on behalf of H.W. Winkelmann was built here on the Hohe Geest. The fully functional Eyendorf windmill is used today, among other things: used as a museum mill. The mill can be seen in operation on set dates, and the big mill festival takes place every year on the last Saturday in May.
