The route from the tunnel to the sewage treatment plant is a bit more challenging because it's very narrow and muddy in places. Important: Turn left after the wooden bridge. The area itself is worth seeing, though. Across the main road, you can also drive into the Büsenbach Valley from here. It's a tourist highlight 😜

The beautiful Este. From Hollenstedt you can kayak down it. From there, if you have enough energy, you can go to the Elbe. There are always beautiful hiking and cycling trails along the Este. The nature around it is fantastic.

Shortly before it flows into the Este, the Todtglüsinger Bach passes through some former fish ponds. The rubbish bins (but no benches!) and the possibility of walking around the ponds on small bridges indicate that this is a fishing lake.

The bridge over the Este near the Kakenstorf school camp, which was opened in 2015, is located at the southern beginning of the boardwalk through the Este floodplain near Kakenstorf.
