In the Fürstenbusch it can sometimes be a bit slippery. The wonderfully beautiful hike is nevertheless highly recommended.

We found it particularly beautiful in May, when the broom and water lilies bloom bright yellow 🤩👍

The municipality of Südlohn writes: First mentioned in 1221, making it one of the oldest farms in our community. After Oeding Castle, it was once the most influential village headman's farm in Oeding and, in keeping with knightly fortifications, was surrounded by a wide moat to protect against plundering. Besides the old farmhouse and gatehouse, there is a stone granary with a basement level dating from the late Middle Ages (formerly a refuge and defensive granary), one of the most important and earliest examples of its kind in the Münsterland region. The entire complex is complemented by a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
