Hello everyone, for me the Bulkweg (Bärenkuhle) up is one of the most beautiful climbs from the town of Steinbeck towards Ibbenbüren. The Bulkweg is very idyllic and has little traffic (apart from local residents). On the descent you have to watch out for bumps in the asphalt surface, which are not a problem when climbing on a racing bike. The climb up the Bärenkuhle is fairly gentle until the last 200 m or so where it gets quite steep. But then you've reached the top. Note on the Bärenkuhle and how the Bulkweg got its name: A former colleague is a local resident and he once told me that his great-grandfather killed the last bear in that area.

In the middle of the village is the St.Anderas Church, which cannot be overlooked. It is the absolute focal point for the residents. In the immediate vicinity are the library, culture center, community center, old mill and the elementary school.
