The eastern landscape lake is not accessible from April 1st to October 31st, including the shore areas, but various activities such as walks along the shore area are permitted during the winter months. The Blue Lagoon, also known as the Dyckerhoff Lake after the cement factory of the same name, consists of two lakes, the biotope lake and the landscape lake, each of which is separated from each other by a dam. The Werseradweg and Cement Route cycle paths run along the dam. The turquoise water of the two lakes as well as the white embankments and banks give the Blue Lagoon a striking appearance. The clear water contains small islands with trees, which turn into a picturesque picture, especially in autumn. The vantage point on the edge offers a beautiful view of the two lakes. https://www.ruhrgebiet-industriekultur.de/blaue-lagune/
