@Rapunzel's tip is completely wrong! She is talking about the Graf Moltke I+II slag heap, now also known as the Steinhalde because it is located on Steinstrasse. Graf MOLTKE III/IV is closed because it is still burning inside, or rather smoldering in a controlled manner. Small wildfires break out again and again in hot summers, and it could often have been discarded cigarettes if the fire started at the foot of the slag heap, as was the case most recently with the major fire in 2019.

Several years ago, the Feldhausen reindeer friends had the idea of getting a small herd of reindeer. The herd consisted of three to five animals with regular offspring. At Christmas time, there was a winter bazaar, the proceeds of which went to charitable organizations (children's hospice, etc.), and the reindeer were allowed to hand over the donations in person. Unfortunately, all of the male animals died within a short period of time. And as the cows also got older, the reindeer friends gave up the idea. At the end of December 2024, only Ronya, a proud 12 years old, was still alive. The reindeer friends have now switched to fallow deer. But Ronya gets along with them too.
