In this forest, you'll find some wooden houses built on stilts. It looks rustic and original. It makes you want to be a child again and spend your holidays here :)

187 steps to "happiness". But in between, there are also resting places along the way up to catch your breath. The view at the top is really beautiful. Riegersburg, Geschriebenstein, Wechsel... everything is there. And of course, there's also a bench at the very top to take a break. I liked it.

A beautifully landscaped pond. Perfect for a short stroll. And afterwards, a coffee in the pondside café. If you can find a seat, that is ;)

I was there today. I didn't use the Komoot route, as it mostly led me along the main road. I followed the Alpine Club trail for large sections. It was a wonderful tour and a beautiful destination.

Today we had the rare luck to meet Josef in person. He was busy watering the splendor of the flowers around his artwork. This requires about 400 liters of water per day in summer. He also had a brief introduction ready about the origin of this art project: When the bridge directly in front had to be rebuilt after a flood, a larger pile of earth remained on the adjacent slope. There he lovingly placed a small house for resting; as a nativity scene builder, it was only natural that he soon brought a few small churches, houses, and other handmade art objects there, to delight passers-by, but above all himself. All the lovingly designed buildings and sculptures come from his hand. The beautiful floral display, which adorns the entire area in summer, comes from the municipality, but is cared for daily by Josef himself. His whole heart is in this project, and it shows!
