The two figures, designed by Dragutin Santek, were cast in bronze. Wolfgang and Leopold Mozart were depicted in their original life-size of 1.63 meters. They stand facing each other in the main square near the historical milestone, reaching out to shake hands in farewell. Next to them, an explanatory bronze plaque is embedded in the ground.

Of course, the famous Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756–1791) deserves a monument not only in his birthplace of Salzburg, but also in other places, honoring the still highly esteemed composer with dignified monuments, in this case depicting father and son from the musical family. One of the most popular works from W.A. Mozart's extensive musical output is undoubtedly the serenade "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" (Köchel catalogue no. 525). A spring on a steeper path, somewhat hidden in the ditch. It's a small detour, but a delightful break.
