It's worth taking a break on your tour in Markt Piesting. You'll find a place to stop for a rest on the market square, and you'll have space to put your feet up in the Generations Park. The park is, as the name suggests, a meeting place for young and old. And the Piesting river flows leisurely through it.

On the wooded summit of the Kogel, a group of mighty conglomerate boulders protrudes from the ground. And on this base lies an approximately 1.70 m high oval block with a diameter of approximately 2 - 3 m. It was brought into its current position by human hands. In order to give this giant block more support, the base stones were smoothed and a large notch was even neatly cut into one of them as a support. The capstone is supported at one point by a few blocks pushed underneath. The whole complex creates a small tunnel to slip through and one can assume that it was not a grave, but was once used for the crawling-through cult. When the geographer M.A. Becker discovered this stone monument, four man-made terraces could still be seen on the north side of the hill. Today there are only two that are clearly visible. Did they serve the “voters” of prehistoric times as a storage facility or meeting place? This stone monument on the hill is still impressive today. It must have been a Herculean task to get the giant block and put it in place. In order to do such work, people in this area must have already lived in an orderly community. This place is popularly called “Guggerstein”. Source: https://www.hernstein.gv.at/Steindenkmal_Altes_Grab_

In Alkersdorf on the Blasekogel is probably the most important artificial stone monument in Austria, the so-called “Old Grave”. The Kogel gets its current name from a landowner from the 19th century. It used to be called “Rauhenpuchel”. Rauhenbühel Who doesn't think of the rough nights and evil spirits? Source: https://www.hernstein.gv.at/Steindenkmal_Altes_Grab_
