The Astbergsee is truly a very great place to linger and enjoy. In good weather, an extremely beautiful panoramic view and a great reflection of the mountains on the lake. You can cycle up well, but with a little caution, as it is an asphalt road up to the Jazzalm and you have to expect vehicle traffic. From the Jazzalm onwards, it is loose gravel and only a few meters to the mountain lake.

The lido on the Gieringer Weiher is the only access to the lake. A very quiet place to relax and unwind. There is also catering available there.

opposite the train station there is a wooden frame to look through. Position yourself a little to the left of it, and you'll have a dream picture that professional photographers travel for: the hut on the Schwarzsee, the birches, framed by the Wilder Kaiser.

A great place with a fantastic view of the Wilder Kaiser. The bench with the inscription "Lieblingsplatzl" is a popular photo opportunity. https://www.wilderkaiser.info/de/going/info/kaiserkino-am-astberg.html Please note: Cycling is only permitted up to the mountain station; you must push your bike around the lake.
