The Ophover Mill, presumably built in the 14th century, is located in the Forst district of Wegberg on the Beeckbach stream and has a large mill pond. The name goes back to the noble family "von Ophoven." They owned a motte and bailey near the mill. The mill was a grain mill with two grinding gears and an undershot waterwheel. From 1867 onward, it was also powered by a steam engine. As the last mill in Wegberg still powered by water, it ceased operations in 1965. Today, it houses a restaurant with a beer garden. https://www.niederrhein-tourismus.de/attraktion/die-ophover-muehle-bei-wegberg-4597087083
