In the quarry, a 5 m thick bed of fine-grained granite was mined, which penetrated between migmatitic gneiss with metabasic inclusions. The mining followed the granite-gneiss bedding surface. This contact surface - a cold, sharp contact - is exposed over several 100 square meters. This base surface shows gneiss with a flaky structure, the layers of light and dark components of which dissolve into streaks and even into a random structure.
