As a hiker, you need to pay a little attention to cyclists, as the riverside path along the Werre is primarily a popular cycle path between Herford and Bad Salzuflen. Even though the Werre is dammed and therefore has hardly any flow speed here, it appears very idyllic (perhaps precisely because of this) and water birds in particular feel comfortable here. On the other hand, the bank drops steeply to the Werre, which also looks very beautiful.

Haus Malz is the former residence of a doctor and still has the complete interior. Unfortunately, it is only open to visitors every now and then, but you can also catch a glimpse through the windows.

In autumn, when the fruit is ripe, you can snag a tasty treat or two here :-)

Wrong title: From here, there's no view of the Teutoburg Forest. Certainly not of a "landscape of the Teutoburg Forest" (there's no such nonsense). Surely those familiar with the area can come up with something more meaningful than these empty phrases.

The Malz House, dating from 1684, is one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in Vlotho's historic old town. Unfortunately, it currently appears to be empty. It's always a feast for the eyes! 😊📸🍀
