After the Thirty Years' War, the Marian pilgrimage flourished again. The current Maria Rain rectory was built during this time. It is located in the immediate vicinity of the church and together with it forms an architectural ensemble. As early as 1443, Hans Bach from Wertach was mentioned as having purchased a charitable estate and house near the church. In 1439, he was appointed the first chaplain of "Wertach-Rain" by Cardinal Peter. On the lower floor of the current rectory, there are still remains of the building purchased by Hans Bach. The current rectory was built in place of the old building in 1720. The log building is completely clad in shingles on the outside. Cornices were added to the windows and the front door was artistically designed. Since 1998, the western part of the building has housed the parish hall with a parish hall and rooms for local clubs.

Beautiful hiking trail around the lake. In the summer months it is a bathing lake with some recreational facilities. Parking is subject to a fee. Good places to stop for refreshments. There is also a dog swimming area!😍🐕
