yes definitely, is impressive, especially the stele with the flood marking behind the dam, somewhat inconspicuous, but that also explains why the islands have to be protected, when they are gone it's the mainland coast's turn, then it will get even more expensive. Climate change sends its regards.

💚Beautiful green color changes especially in sunshine🌞, wonderful nature/animal observations🐦. The boardwalks, built with great effort by local craft businesses, cross the heath and the dunes and lead to the beach, to the viewing dunes and to the viewpoints. The wooden planks of the boardwalks are replaced with new ones after a few years. In some cases, individual sections are also relaid and the old post foundations are still visible. 🌿Wonderful to experience the remarkable nature like this 🍃👌🏼.

❤️🤍❤️The island's landmark: the lighthouse. It was built in 1872 on a dune in the southwest and is still in operation❤️. At 42 meters, it is one of the tallest on the North German North Sea coast. The originally reddish-brown stone tower was given its current red-and-white paint in 1952. 297 steps lead from the foot of the dune to a viewing platform with a circular balcony. From the top, there is a magnificent view of Amrum, the neighboring islands, and the North Sea🌊.

This beautiful, unique freshwater biotope lies in the heart of the Amrum dunes. It was created by the natural growth of a dune embankment. This was then artificially extended, gradually filling it with rainwater and rising groundwater. The lake and its surrounding area are an important resting and breeding ground for countless water birds.

Greetings from the Lüneburg Heath, but we're here on the North Sea island of Amrum. Simply stunningly beautiful during the flowering season in August/September.
