Beautiful cycle path along the Erft

The Erft has been renatured and has received a new bed away from the weir. The Erft canal has been filled in. The weir now stands as a historical monument to a past form of water management and "land consolidation".

A shame that the Erft was separated from the cycle path, but it was urgently necessary after the flood of the century. I've added a few old pictures so everyone can imagine what it used to look like here.
