November 6, 2025, High Rim Trail

The section of the High Rim Trail accessed from Oyama Lake Road climbs steadily through mixed forest and old logging roads to open ridgelines with sweeping views of the Okanagan Valley. Itโ€™s a moderately challenging route, with some loose footing and about 300 m of elevation gain, but rewards hikers with lookouts over Kalamalka and Wood Lakes and the surrounding area.

November 6, 2025, Oyama Lookout

Oyama Lookout sits high above the Okanagan Valley, offering panoramic views over Kalamalka Lake framed by forested hills and winding roads below. Itโ€™s an open, breezy spot that feels peaceful and remote despite being easy to reach. Sunrise and sunset are especially beautiful here, when the light glows across the lakes and valleys. You can get here either by hiking trail or by dirt road.
