July 30, 2026, Elizondo

Elizondo is an incredibly picturesque village in Navarre, nestled right in the heart of the Baztan Valley. Its traditional houses overlooking the river are absolutely charming and give the town a wonderful atmosphere to relax in after a long day of walking. If you are hiking the HRP or the GR11, this is the ideal destination to conclude your stage. The town offers every kind of service you could possibly need to recover, including comfortable accommodations, great restaurants, and various shops. Notably, there is a fantastic bakery and a very well-stocked supermarket. A Crucial Tip for Hikers: I highly recommend stocking up on all your food and provisions here in Elizondo. On the upcoming stages of the HRP and GR11, you will not find any shops or supermarkets for the next two or three days, and certainly nothing as well-supplied as this one. Don't miss the chance to fully resupply!

Walk from the Ispeguy pass, narrow path, best worn in hiking shoes, some scree slopes, magnificent view!
