Most of the many ugly concrete buildings (half-ruins) on the slopes of Pizzo Sella stand empty. However, some renovated or newly built houses are clearly inhabited, with cars parked in front. Access to the extensive network of roads along the entire mountainside is blocked at the bottom by a barrier, which is monitored by a guardhouse. Many questions remain about this eyesore of construction in the middle of this magnificent mountain landscape!
