Since 2016, the Kaltern Winery has united 590 members under its umbrella, cultivating a total of 440 hectares of vineyards. The cooperative sees itself as a "big family" that holds together small, intimate winegrowing structures and offers its members the opportunity to share in a shared success. Coordination among members, ranging from vine care to training and continuing education, is a central component of its work. The winery sets high standards for its quality policy and monitors the yields of approximately 2,000 plots to create optimal conditions for the wines. Five main varieties are cultivated: Schiava (particularly from Kaltern), Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Muscat Gold (for the sweet Passito). Sustainability is a central principle, implemented both in the vineyard and in the cellar. The Kaltern Winery was the first wine producer in Italy and the first cooperative to be awarded the FAIR 'N GREEN sustainability certificate. Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sundays and public holidays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Guided tours: From Easter to the end of September, every Wednesday at 5 p.m. and every Friday at 10 a.m., and upon request.
