Gerberau is always worth a visit. There's an ice cream parlor and the Gaf Gaf (a shop with lovely gift ideas), jewelry, and antique shops. The beer garden is a great place to linger.

From 1770 to 1824, the theatre and comedy house was here, and from 1789 onwards it was also listed in the fire register as a comedy and granary. When the former Augustinian Hermit Church was used as a municipal theatre from 1823 onwards, it was used to store grain for the grain trade. This then led to its current name. In 1884 it was rebuilt, and at the suggestion of citizens and clubs the upper floors were again converted into a ballroom with a capacity of 550 people. Access was via two granite staircases on either side of the main entrance. It was destroyed down to its foundations in the bombing raids in November 1944. It was rebuilt in its historical form in 1970, with the interior being adapted to the new requirements. Source: Wikipedia
