Of course, everything is dotted with industry, but still: a certain spaciousness that you don't experience in the inner city.

Cone fountain or Bartmann fountain The Bartmann fountain stands on a concrete base in the Frechen pedestrian zone in the city center, opposite the headquarters of its founder, the Kreissparkasse Frechen. It was designed in 1982 by the Frechen sculptor Olaf Höhnen (1933 - 2009) and cast in bronze in the Schnitzler foundry (Frechen-Bachem). The Bartmann fountain is reminiscent of the landmark of the city of Frechen, the Bartmann jug, and thus also of the centuries-old ceramic tradition in Frechen. The monument consists of a total of 30 individual Bartmann jugs, which are arranged in a circle around a column of four larger jugs in six columns of four smaller jugs each. The jugs on the outer columns are positioned so that the handles face inwards and the Bartmann face faces outwards. On each jug's belly there is a round medallion or medallion. Relief designed to depict a trade (typical for Frechen): "You can see the tailor sitting cross-legged, the baker, the hairdresser, the farrier, the potter, the farmer, people in the pub and various scenes that vividly depict the historical production of the lumps" https://www.kuladig.de/Objektansicht/KLD-328366
