Unfortunately, the great dirt road is really difficult to ride on! Be careful with the potholes. They were slightly smoothed out recently, but I think we will soon have to swerve again to avoid falling over the handlebars.

The shelter has been newly renovated. Here, almost on the summit of the Schüberg, you have a great view and can catch your breath before continuing.

A beautiful path along the fields. A nice change with a gravel bike and very easy to ride! The path leads up to or down from Schüberg. It's not a real singletrack, but rather a narrow hiking trail.

It's interesting to imagine how people used to get here to bathe. It must have been really busy here back then. Besides, Maya the Bee was invented here. Unfortunately, the campsite had to close its natural swimming pool...

There is actually a small mountain and a bench here to rest on.

You can even swim in the lake, but the entrance is on the other side.

I was there on my touring bike on April 21, 2025, and this shelter is in a catastrophic state. Vandals have ripped half of the roof off, the bench is missing entirely, and someone even started a fire inside the shelter. It's absolutely pathetic to see the barbaric destructive energy these young people (and they were definitely local young people; hikers would never do something like that) are exerting to destroy and demolish everything they see.
