The Zeitenpfad (Path of Time) from Agathenburg is a historical educational trail that leads from the geest cliff to the present day across 8 stations. The great, freely accessible path can be walked at any time, takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and starts directly at the castle. To travel from Stade to Agathenburg by train, take the S-Bahn line A5 which runs every 30 minutes daily from Stade. The journey to Agathenburg station takes approximately 4 minutes. By bicycle, the route from Agathenburg Castle is about 30 km long and leads from Stade through the Zeitenpfad of Agathenburg. One section is very overgrown but can be cycled.

The Auetal is worth a visit....whether on foot or by bike (and it doesn't matter if with natural / chain or hub gears or with an e-bike). Many paths are flat / without significant gradients. I myself have my health limitations and for me these routes are also challenges, but doable....each at their own pace and difficulty level. I even know some who were able to reduce their medication dosage because of it.... So, just be brave and start slowly or increase gradually...many things are doable (perhaps for everyone, but for some).

Runners and walkers alike will find it a fantastic route for building fitness. The constant ups and downs offer many variations of the route.
