With the wind in the right direction, you can really pick up speed, otherwise you might have to work a bit😅

In April 1998, the "Wels" restaurant opened its doors to guests for the first time and has enjoyed ever-increasing popularity ever since. We are delighted to welcome not only our immediate neighbors as regular guests, but also vacationers who return time and again. One of the reasons for this is certainly the beautiful location directly on Lake Zwischenahn. The Wels team deliberately chose this location in Eyhauser Bay. A giant catfish was sighted near this bay in 1979. Even the New York Times, for example, wrote, "Giant Catfish has West Germans Hooked." The local water police officer was the first to spot the giant fish near Eyhauser Bay. Newspapers worldwide reported on it, attracting anglers and many curious onlookers. Everyone wanted to see the 3.5-meter-long monster with their own eyes. Anglers still try their luck today. So far, however, it has only been possible to retrieve catfish measuring approximately 1.50 meters in length from the lake.
