Nice starting point for the hike on the klompenpad, Sonnevanckroute (9km) and a cup of coffee with cake at Vivaldi.

The Klompenpad is a beautiful forest walk with a start and finish at the former Sonnevanck sanatorium. The grounds where the sanatorium stood are still in use as a healthcare institution with beautiful villas around it. These used to be the homes of the doctors and other employees of the sanatorium. After an initial lap around the grounds, the route quickly enters the forest via a swing gate, only to emerge at the end of the route. Near the start is a small 'petting zoo' with deer and goats.
