The 🅿 at Mc Donalds is a good place to start your hike, running training or bike tour from here. You can quickly get to the Aasee over this large bridge. From the bridge you have a beautiful view of the Pleystrang.

The Königsmühle was first mentioned in 1366. At that time it was still a pure grain mill and was probably located on the southern edge of today's Aasee. It was rebuilt in the 18th century and later expanded several times. In addition to its function as a grain mill, it later also served as a tanning and fulling mill, thus contributing to the prosperity of the textile industry. The Bocholter Aa was dammed to power the mill and its course was probably even slightly changed.
