Remains of the old city fortifications from the 14th century. Here at the northern edge of the old town. The remains are the foundation; the structure is not quite as old. These fortifications, along with the mill ditch, had to be captured first. Further remains of the wall can be found on the southwest edge of the old town, also at the mill ditch.

The promenade is lovely for running, walking and strolling. It runs along the Havel with great views of and around the water. Boats, green spaces, playgrounds, activity areas, drinking fountains, etc. Quite busy in the afternoon when the weather is good, otherwise it's easy to walk along.
