A magnificent, well-maintained palace called Königswart. Renovated in 2001, the building was originally built in 1690 and remodeled in the Empire style for Prince Metternich in the 1930s. Today, it houses a museum and a café. A hotel and restaurant have been built in the adjacent buildings.

Did the hike (September 2025). Didn't encounter the dilapidated boardwalk or the wooden bridge. Just firm forest floor. So everything seems to be back in order.
