In addition to A🚶🏽♂️L🚴🏼♂️E🏃🏽♂️X, I would also like to mention that in winter (unfortunately little snow in recent years) a cross-country ski trail leads upwards, today in summer enthusiasts go up with skirollers or take an electric monowheel up the road, which runs parallel to the hiking trails.

The Slovak Radio Station is an unusual structure in the north of the city. It is shaped like an inverted pyramid and was completed in 1983. The imposing building is 80 meters tall and has been hailed as one of the 30 ugliest buildings in the world, a claim disputed by Slovak architects.

The Slovak Radio building is one of Bratislava's architectural landmarks. This "inverted pyramid" is very interesting from an architectural point of view. It rightfully bears the title "Building of the Century in Slovakia" in the category of public buildings. The building is unique in the city as a testament to its time of construction. Strictly speaking, however, it consists of two pyramids, with the inner pyramid housing broadcasting facilities and a recording studio. The total height of the building, including the antenna, is 80 meters. The authors of the project are Štefan Svetko, Štefan Ďurkovič, and Barnabáš Kissling. The project was created in 1967. The building was not completed until 1983, but has been broadcasting regularly since March 1985. The building features spacious interiors, an excellent concert hall, and well-equipped recording studios. The Slovak Radio's large concert studio, which seats 523 spectators, hosts concerts by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra, as well as other concerts featuring classical music, popular singers, and alternative music groups. It also houses one of the largest organs in Central Europe, with over 6,300 pipes, which is the venue for the so-called Organ Concerts Under the Pyramid. The hall has excellent acoustics for recording, as it is mounted on springs that act as acoustic dampers, absorbing vibrations and sound reflections. This is another reason why a concert in the Slovak Radio building is a unique musical experience that you shouldn't miss. Source: https://www.visitbratislava.com/de/setzt/slowakischer-rundfunk/

More of a filling station (in the middle of the forest) than a rest area.

The Bratislava TV Tower (Slovak: Televízna veža na Kamzíku) is a 200-meter-high reinforced concrete tower located at 433 meters on Mount Kamzík (German: Gemsenberg) The Bratislava TV Tower was completed in 1975 according to the plans of the architects Stanislav Májek, Jakub Tomašák, Juraj Kozák, Milan Jurica and Ján Privitzer and has the shape of a double pyramid Source: Wikipedia 📡🗼 The view from the top of the platform, which can be reached via a lift, is epic 🌇 Unfortunately, the windows are a bit distracting when taking photos, as many reflections are visible.

It's a shame that I can no longer recommend this highlight retrospectively, as I didn't have a world package at the time of the trip to Bratislava 😪 Nevertheless, it is a matter close to my heart to upload at least a few photos here, as we remember the trip to Bratislava from September 7th, 2023 to September 9th, 2023 as a very impressive and unique trip 💖 Not least - but mainly - because we were there to see an international match of Portugal ❤️💚 with Cristiano Ronaldo 🐐⚽

A prominent landmark in the Koliba section of the forest park is Kamzík (439 meters), whose television tower is perched on the peak of the ridge. Take in a panoramic view of the surrounding area either from the tower revolving restaurant or the 15-meter-high wooden view tower, or from the cable car that runs between Kamzík and Železná studnička. Exercise at the outdoor fitness park, hike along the park’s marked trails or try out mountain bike trails. https://www.visitbratislava.com/places/kamzik/

The people of Bratislava can trade the rush of city life at least during the weekend for a relaxing stay in beautiful nature. One favourite location of the White Cross is from the city district of Bratislava-Rača, which is nearby. On sunny days, lovers of hiking, walking, cycling and even mothers with baby-strollers or joggers are concentrated here. The route is not demanding and everyone can handle it. The White Cross area is formed by dense Carpathian forest parks. Several routes lead directly here and the shortest and most popular, about 4km long, starts just in Rača. It takes about 3 hours to get there and back. https://www.kamnavylet.sk/en/attraction/white-cross
