A portrait of Countess Emilia Pliaterytė, a hero of the 1831 uprising, is painted on a building on Tilžės Street. The rebels led by E. Pliaterytė, known as the Lithuanian Joan of Arc, participated in the battle for Šiauliai against the Russian Empire. Artist is the world-famous French artist C215.

In 2018, the building of the State Šiauliai Drama Theatre turned 80 years old. On this occasion, Šiauliai artists Reda and Arūnas Uogintai painted 80 butterflies soaring into the sky on the side facade, symbolizing each year of the building. This huge mural is a continuation of the Šiauliai Art Gallery's project "Abduction of the Sun III".

The Chase is the coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania (1336–1795), the Republic of Lithuania (1918–1940 and since 1990, as well as the coat of arms of Belarus (1918–1919, 1991–1995), and the symbol of the current Belarusian opposition. It is a symbol depicting a white horseman on a red background.

Water tower construction started in 1939 according to professor P. Morkūnas’ sketches and some of A.Janulionis’ working drawings. During Nazi occupation, the construction of the water tower was suspended. At the end of June, 1945, construction works were resumed. Tower construction works were led by engineer Jonas Vencius. Intermittent tower construction took nine years, until 1948. In that year, the tower was filled with water from the first Lepšiai water supply station in Šiauliai, which was put in operation on October 30, 1948, which is the official date of establishing waterworks. Until 1991, water tower was used for its intended purpose – water supply. In 1991, it was disconnected from the water supply network. Perpetuating changes in waterworks, employees’ achievements, in 1974, the waterworks museum was founded on the ground floor of the tower. In 1983, it was granted the name of a public museum.

Murals "After the rain the sun always shines” and “Square portraits” After the rain, the sun always shines” – this is another wall in the city decorated with the playful works of Stasele Jakunskaitė. The drawing depicts the sun and rain – constant companions of our lives. According to the artist, life is diverse, therefore all emotions and experiences are necessary and inevitable – it is part of our life story. “Square Portraits” are six unique, stylized characters placed on square backgrounds of different colors. All of the portraits created by Stasele Jakunskaite are united by a rounded square shape. According to the author, this work symbolizes that although we are all different, we are all united by common features and a sense of community.
