As of 24th of June, there are a lot of stripped asphalt segments, filled with sand and pretty big rocks. Some of these are after descents, making it extra dangerous, and with 28mm tires I felt like I was sinking in the sand, Not a great feeling then especially when a car overtakes you. Unless you have a gravel bike, I recommend avoiding this route until the new asphalt layer comes this summer, hopefully very soon!!

normally great but with all the current deviations this is pretty bad if you want to go the whole way between Pasila and Leppävaara and beyond, the sections between the work sites are still great though (personally I’m probably going to keep away until 2028)

if you want to enjoy the view for longer, I’d recommend getting down to the river via the parking lot just south of the bridge, never seen any birds here

Oittaa was a prosperous estate in the early 1500s, with its owner around 1510 being Mårten Persson. The estate served as a cavalry farm from the 1600s until the early 1800s. Owners of Oittaa in the 19th and 20th centuries included tobacco merchant Constantin von Fieandt (1868–1886), Baron Rabbe Gustaf Otto Wrede (1895–1902), Colonel Georg Didrik von Essen (1902–1908), veterinarian Magnus Leopold Kjöllerfelt (1908–1914), and bank manager Anders Ismael Wiksten (1914–1936). In 1939, the estate was mentioned for the first time as a manor, and it had 440 hectares of land, 100 of which were cultivated. The manor was transferred from the Wiksten estate to the ownership of the Espoo Township (now the City of Espoo) in 1963.
