Oittaa Manor is located on the southwestern shore of Lake Bodom, at the mouth of the Oittaanjoki River in Espoo. It is one of three historic manor estates surrounding Lake Bodom, alongside Backby Manor and Bodom Manor, reflecting the area's rich cultural heritage and long manor history.

As of 24th of June, there are a lot of stripped asphalt segments, filled with sand and pretty big rocks. Some of these are after descents, making it extra dangerous, and with 28mm tires I felt like I was sinking in the sand, Not a great feeling then especially when a car overtakes you. Unless you have a gravel bike, I recommend avoiding this route until the new asphalt layer comes this summer, hopefully very soon!!

supposed to get new asphalt this summer (finally!), works currently (July 11th) scheduled for July 15th through Aug 7th

asphalt works finished, all new asphalt on the western half of this segment (and onwards), eastern half older with plenty of cracks (I’d still rather take Yli-/Lepsämäntie)

Oittaa was a prosperous estate in the early 1500s, with its owner around 1510 being Mårten Persson. The estate served as a cavalry farm from the 1600s until the early 1800s. Owners of Oittaa in the 19th and 20th centuries included tobacco merchant Constantin von Fieandt (1868–1886), Baron Rabbe Gustaf Otto Wrede (1895–1902), Colonel Georg Didrik von Essen (1902–1908), veterinarian Magnus Leopold Kjöllerfelt (1908–1914), and bank manager Anders Ismael Wiksten (1914–1936). In 1939, the estate was mentioned for the first time as a manor, and it had 440 hectares of land, 100 of which were cultivated. The manor was transferred from the Wiksten estate to the ownership of the Espoo Township (now the City of Espoo) in 1963.
