Information sign: "Wreck Cove's Pike Factory - This lagoon was created to promote fish spawning. Pike and perch spawn in shallow water, where their offspring are protected until they are ready to swim to sea. Spawning lasts from March to June, but the period can vary depending on water temperature. Other animals that thrive here include frogs, reptiles, backswimmers, dragonflies, and damselflies."

The information sign reads: "Wreck Mountain Trail - a paved path with an unknown history You are now standing at the foot of Wreck Mountain. Looking out over the sea, you'll see the remains of a wreck, hence the mountain's name. From here, you can hike up the mountain on a paved path. A lot of work went into creating this path, which was probably accessible by horse-drawn carriage. But who is behind the path and why it was created remains a mystery. The path has been washed away by rain over the years, but further up it is almost completely intact."
