The best way to reach it is via the Grimsholmen nature reserve and the associated town of Grimsholmen. Because of the storm, we chose the road as our way back, but it is not as nice to walk on as the beach.

Vesslunda, with its soft sandy bays, lies just south of the Suseån estuary. You can access the nature reserve from the parking area near the estuary or by the beach at Långasand. Enjoy swimming from the cliffs or at the shallow sandy beaches, and explore several paths that lead to stunning viewpoints. With a wooden table and benches, it also makes a great picnic stop.

The inventor and sculptor Walter Bengtsson (1927-1998) from Halmstad was a stubborn and life-affirming person. The Dream Bench from 1977, made of painted and patinated bronze/copper, is burlesque and inspired by folk art. The artist shows everything that saving can offer. But behind the seemingly humorous scenes lies a seriousness that was never far away in his monumental works. The different floors represent different stages of life: first home, love/marriage, children, retirement - in other words, the dreams of life.
