In this fascinating forest you can spot some artsy statues made of wood. The perfect excuse to stop and explore the area before continuing the Unionsleden.

This place is a popular bathing area closed from the city. You'll find nice rocks, sandy beaches and grassy areas for playing and sunbathing. There is a large beach by the main parking lot that is shallow – perfect for small children or for swimmers lovers. Skutberget is very easy to access. You can easily get down to the water with the help of a ramp.

Nice barbecue area right next to Sweden's largest lake.

Very large campsite with a restaurant, a small shop in the reception and lots of permanent campers. Recommended in the off-season, as you can still get a spot right by the lake. There is a fenced-in dog area and a nice little dog beach nearby.

For sports lovers: Several classic gym machines in very good condition in the open air, weight bench, pull-up bars and more. You can even adjust the weights. Take a towel and off you go.
