The church was built in 1893 in a purely neo-Gothic style, replacing a smaller predecessor from 1851. The building, including the choir, nave, tower, and side buildings, is traditionally designed with exposed red tiles and patterned slate roofs. Danish churches are usually oriented east-west, but this church is oriented somewhat northward, as it runs parallel to Blindebomsgade. https://lex.dk/Løgstør_Kirke

This is a great place to stay and watch birds. Or if the weather lets you down, you can take shelter or stay there.

Immediately on the bank of the canal is the former residence of the canal bailiff from 1863. Today it houses the Limfjord Museum Løgstør, which provides information about the culture and history of the people on the fjord. And directly in front of the impressive building is the bridge, which was already completed in 1861. It is considered the oldest functioning swing bridge in Denmark. As a tourist attraction, the 25-ton swing bridge is swung over the canal on a few days in the summer and opened.
