This disused railway bridge ran East out of the old iron works, across the river Amman to join the main line.

For families especially, but also those who prefer a more gentle ride, the route is ideal because apart from a descent near Pontamman it follows the river bank and is flat.

If using the shared cycle route/walkway between Ammanford and Brynamman, please note that this is not the most. expedient route, and is also popular with dog walkers, and is quite narrow in places....
