Very muddy in places and clearly frequented by the local horsey community cus it's covered in horse deposits

The "Staffs & Worcs" canal, was one of the major routes of the canal age and once would have been constantly busy with coal boats. These days, it's part of two cruising rings, and is one of the prettiest ways to explore the area.

Take the exit off the track here, turn right and follow the road for 500m or so and you can get back onto the canal here to head back towards Wolverhampton
