Walkers are faced with two choices to climb the hill, either the shorter but steeper steps or a longer but not so steep switchback path.

Worston is a quiet little village just off the A59 and at the base of Pendle Hill. The Calf's Head at Worston is a good pub to start run's or hikes from.

One of the best view points in the centre of Clitheroe, the Castle. There are sets of steps around the castle which are great to include as part of the run to get great views of the Ribble Valley, Pendle Hill and the Trough of Bowland.
