Grade II listed, 6-meter-high ashlar stone pillar featuring a floriated cross, erected in 1919. It commemorates 16 WWI and 13 WWII local residents, surrounded by railings and a stone wall. It consists of an octagonal pillar on a tiered base, featuring a v-grooved column and a "candle-snuffer" cap.

technically not for cycling along as only a footpath but with gravel this good it's criminal not to. watch out for golfers teeing off

Gradual descent north to south, it starts wide and easy, then gets narrower and slightly technical i.e. a bit more adventurous than vanilla 'gravel'.
