Beautiful place. Farm with pitches. Good amenities with showers/toilets, a small kitchen. Everything is very rustic and stylish. There's even a bed in the barn for pilgrims. Very fair price! And the hostess is incredibly sweet...Heidrun is legendary! 😊

The lake and its surroundings are located in a cantonal nature reserve and have neither an inflow nor an outflow. It is fed solely by groundwater.

Just behind a hut on the path, there is a huge table with a barbecue area and a sensational view.

The Mueterschwandenberg is a range of hills above Lake Alpnach. The climb from the valley floor is around 300 metres, and once you reach the top you can enjoy a magnificent view of the romantic peaks of central Switzerland.
