July 15, 2026, Lokpark Ampflwang

🚂 Lokpark Ampflwang – A journey back in time to the steam locomotive era For me, Lokpark Ampflwang is one of the most exciting stops in the Hausruckviertel. Even if you're not a die-hard railway fan, the mighty steam locomotives, the historic roundhouse, and the huge turntable are impressive. Railway history truly comes alive here. 🚴‍♂️ My tip: Allow at least an hour. There's an incredible amount to discover – from lovingly restored steam, diesel, and electric locomotives to the mining museum on the former coal plant site. I find it particularly impressive that many of the historic vehicles are still operational and are regularly used for special trips. 📸 Photo tip: The turntable with the roundhouse is the landmark of the Lokpark and offers the most beautiful photo opportunities. When a steam locomotive is under steam, you feel transported back decades. 💚 My conclusion: For me, the Lokpark is one of the highlights around Vöcklabruck. Whether with family, friends, or on a bike tour – this place uniquely combines technology, history, and nostalgia and is definitely worth a visit.

A beautiful statue stands in the main square of Ried im Innkreis! As do many other sights, such as the parish church, which houses sculptures by the Schwanthaler family, the Museum of Folklore, and other buildings! Guided tours are also available! Highly recommended!

If you're a beer lover looking for non-alcoholic alternatives, you'll find what you're looking for with "Rieder Alkoholfrei." Unlike many other non-alcoholic beers, this beer contains no wheat malt. This means the beer's flavor is predominantly hoppy. Awards and beer connoisseurs confirm its excellent taste! Additionally, the beer is very low in calories, which is a major plus, especially for health-conscious, active consumers.

Originally a 15th-century Gothic church, the nave was demolished in 1720 and replaced with a new Baroque structure. At the same time, the chancel was also redesigned in the Baroque style. The tower was heightened in 1731/32, its upper section was altered in 1868, and a new spire was added in 1930.
