The fountain has a long history. Among other things, it was built with the female statues. These were replaced by farmers when the building in front of it was converted into a boys' high school. After all, it was not acceptable for the boys to look at naked female statues every day. After the opening to the West, the poorly fitting farmer figures were replaced by the female statues. The neighboring high school is now a mixed high school.
