"The construction of the brick temple began in 1859. The church was not completed because the tsarist authorities, as part of the repression for the participation of the local population in the January Uprising, confiscated the unfinished temple in 1866 in order to transfer it to the Orthodox. The building was completed, but already as an Orthodox church. In 1921, after Poland regained independence, the state authorities returned the former church to the Catholics, rebuilt into an Orthodox church. It was adapted to the needs of the Latin liturgy and as a temple dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord and St. Michael the Archangel, it was consecrated on June 25, 1922. The image of Our Lady of the Uprising, which had existed in the old temple of St. Michael the Archangel, returned to the recovered temple. At this temple, on May 7, 1933, Archbishop Romuald Jałbrzykowski erected a parish dedicated to the Transfiguration of the Lord and St. Michael Archangel." - Wikipedia accessed June 15, 2025

It is worth visiting this place because of Mr. Adam. With a bit of luck, you can listen to his stories by the evening campfire. Before visiting, it is worth reading the article: https://turystyka.wp.pl/ta-wioska-to-wehikul-czasu-turysci-wyjezdzaja-z-kruszynian-nic-o-nich-nie-wiedzac-6541314009517024a

Built in the second half of the 19th century on the initiative of the Hasidim from Slonim. The synagogue was liquidated in 1941 after the German troops entered Krynki. After the war, it served as a warehouse. It is currently privately owned. The building is listed in the register of historical monuments.

Artesian well available 24/7. Tasty water, it saved my trip. Below is a quote from sokolka.tv: "This is one of a dozen or so deep water intakes (artesian) that existed before the war and are still active today. These wells were drilled by Gendler Ponty for the needs of Jewish tanneries. The water, flowing from the "crooked pipe" under high pressure, is of good quality, low mineral content and very tasty. As legend has it, it also has healing properties. Queen Jadwiga was healed with water from Krynki in the 14th century. The future Polish king Władysław Jagiełło, traveling from Vilnius to Krakow, stopped at the Krynki manor and took with him miraculous water from the local springs on his way back, which was used to treat Jadwiga's stomach problems."

The church dates back to 1862, although some sources say 1840. The building is listed in the register of monuments. Access to the church is only from the cemetery. By the way, the cemetery is also interesting. On its premises there is a cemetery church of St. Cosmas and Damian, which is older than the main church. This is probably the only necropolis I know that is not fenced. Right next to the wall surrounding the church there is a water intake with an electric pump. I drank the water itself and it seems okay. It is not the tastiest, it has a specific aftertaste, but I know from experience that this one does not harm me. On the plus side, it is very cold and flows from deep. The pump works for a very long time before the water flows out. To such an extent that at first I thought it was not working.
