The region's northern part lies on the Barnim Plateau, while the southern part is within the Berlin glacial valley. A loving selection of poems featuring trees, accompanied by a description of the tree species. A beautiful idea, a beautiful experience.

Each tree, presented with an information panel, inspired a poet to write.

Very nice hiking trail directly at the Kalksee. But be careful. Danger of tripping. Rooty paths.

Nice rest area directly on the lake.

The Löcknitz is 33 km long. It has retained its original bank structures over around 20 km. One of my favorite hikes is the tour from Erkner to Fangschleuse and Hangelsberg through the Löcknitztal nature reserve.

The view of Flakensee is beautiful. However, the “Rennsteig” is difficult to walk when there is snow and ice.

A nice place to stay. Slow down, widen your view and you'll feel a little more pleasant with the view of the water in the hot summer❣️
