After the renovation, it's a feast for the eyes. With its fire department, hotel ships, and the Deutz harbor, it's an interesting corner that's set to become even more beautiful, possibly with an outdoor Rhine pool.

the surface leaves a lot to be desired, but it is better to go up to Altenrath than via the even worse Höckergasse

Closed in spring for toad migration and the road surface is a disaster. I drive along there often - the route is not a pleasure.

After World War II, when the families of the soldiers of the Belgian occupation forces arrived, a school had to be built for their children. So a school was built here especially for them. With the departure of the last Belgian troops around the year 2000, the building remained empty for a while until it was renovated and became a Catholic primary school in 2006. Today, the building, characterized by its horseshoe shape, serves as a full-time school. The structure is not only a place of learning, but is also recognized as a historical monument, having been included in the list of monuments of Bergisch Gladbach.
