The Moorwarfer Lake belongs to the Jever fishing club. Please stay on the path outside the fence when walking.

Place name There are several meanings for the place name Cleverns. Some scientists suspect that the place name comes from the Old Frisian word Kleverer. In Old Frisian, the prefix Klever means something like clover or cloverleaf. Clover was probably associated with luck back then. “Cleverns” could therefore mean Happy Village or Cloverleaf Village.

Cleverns is a district of Jever in the Friesland district in Lower Saxony, about 4 km from the city center. The state road Jever – Cleverns – Rispel (L 813) runs through the town.

Since dogs are not allowed on any of the dikes in East Friesland (not even on a leash), this dog run was a wonderful opportunity for our dog to run free and socialize. A completely fenced in forest with an idyllic lake, a small beach and bathing facilities for the four-legged friends. Benches in different places, enough waste bins for the poop bags and even ashtray cans for smoking owners. Everything was well looked after and only a few piles were probably "overlooked" by the owners, but there is never 100%. Many thanks to the committed people who have created and maintained such a great place.

The church is very interesting because it is the small version of the Schortenser church. It is reliably opened and can also be visited inside.
